Using spray perfume correctly helps maximize its longevity and ensures a pleasant, not overpowering, scent. Here's how to apply it properly:
1. Apply to Pulse Points
Spray perfume on warm areas where blood vessels are close to the skin:
Wrists
Neck
Behind the ears
Inner elbows
Behind the knees
These spots help diffuse the fragrance throughout the day.
2. Spray from a Distance
Hold the bottle 5–7 inches (about 15–20 cm) from your skin. This allows the mist to spread evenly without over-applying.
3. Don’t Rub It In
Avoid rubbing your wrists together. It can crush the scent molecules and alter the fragrance.
4. Use on Moisturized Skin
Apply perfume after showering and moisturizing. Hydrated skin holds fragrance better. Use an unscented lotion if possible to avoid clashing scents.
5. Mist the Air (Optional)
For a lighter application, you can spritz perfume into the air and walk through the mist. This gives an even, subtle scent.
6. Avoid Overapplication
One to two sprays are usually enough. Stronger perfumes (like eau de parfum) require less than lighter ones (like eau de toilette).
